This is a 60 hour specialist Yin Yoga course to provide yoga teachers with a depth of knowledge in this specialist area.
The Yin Yoga Teacher Training takes place across 5 contact days of 8 hours inc lunch break. Pre course reading and post course work class preparation and teaching makes this course 60 hours of training.
This course is accredited by Yoga Pros (formerly Yoga Alliance Professionals)
and also by Yoga Teachers Together providing an insurable qualification.
Teachers who have taken this course have been impressed by the depth of the material and how it prepares them fully to teach yin yoga authentically and in a richly engaging way, weaving in TCM principles and philosophy which are studied in detail on this course - far more than simply teaching shapes.
Participants will be assessed on their understanding and application of what they have learned as follows:
i) During the 5 contact dates teaching peers in various scenarios
ii) preparation of a detailed class plan for submission and evaluation
iii) teach their prepared class to a group of real-life students, gathering feedback
iv) write up a self-evaluation as to how the class went and submit
Attendance at all 5 contact dates is also a pre-requisite of qualification, followed by successful completion of steps i) to iv) above

During the 5 contact dates you will have opportunities to teach the new skills and to integrate the yin yoga teaching methodologies.
Post course assessment -
i) write & submit a 75 minute class plan based on a specific theme.
ii) teach the class to a group of students and obtain feedback
iii) write up your own observations on your experience of teaching yin yoga and submit.
NB: to receive the 60 hour Yin teaching qualification you already need to be a yoga teacher. Whilst you are welcome to apply to take this course as a non-yoga teacher, please note this training will NOT qualify you as a yoga teacher, you will need a minimum of a 200 hours YTT. Provided you are already a yoga teacher, you will receive a 60 Hour YAP/Yoga Pros accredited insurable qualification.

By booking your place on this in-person course you are confirming your ability to attend all face to face dates (online or in person depending on which course you choose) and complete the course assessment work. A deposit of £150 secures your place with the remainder to be paid no later than 1 month before the course start date.
Full course participation and attendance is required to receive the qualification.
(If you are attending the online version on Zoom, this is a fully interactive course with participants' web cameras required to be on unless otherwise agreed in advance with the course director.)
The course fees are non -refundable on confirming your place. Strictly subject to the discretion of the course director in the event of exceptional circumstances your fee can be transferred to a later running of the same course.
If for any reason the course is canceled by us, you will receive a full refund or can elect to transfer to another course date.
Please note that for already-qualified yoga teachers, this specialist course confers a yin yoga teaching qualification. However, if you are not a yoga teacher, the course does not qualify you to teach yoga (yin or otherwise). If you subsequently qualify as a yoga teacher (minimum 200 hours) we can retrospectively accredit you with the Yin teaching qualification providing you have met and passed all necessary requirements of our curriculum.
